When Kate told me she wanted to do a lyric video, I knew right away that I didn't wanted to do something dull. With the added challenge of a very limited budget, I started thinking of ways to make it stand out in postproduction. How limited you ask? We ended up using a Canon 650D with a kit lens, no lights, no studio, 8 takes from different angles a white wall and a tripod.
Postproduction... that one took a bit longer. Rotoscoping her to make the background more even, was what religion must refer to as 'hell'. Don't you ever give a second thought to the question "should I invest in that green screen?". Ever. Period.
