Oil facilities are not particularly beautiful nor pristine, but the level of engineer and the ingenuity of the teams working there is notable. Every few years, underwater lines pumping oil from ports to tankers need to be inspected to make sure they are in good condition. This inspection took 7 months to prepare and a team of 50+ people working around the clock for 5 straight days. Due to the very nature of the workplace environment it is hard to make the live action images reflect the level precision required to execute such endeavor.
So when I got the project, my personal challenge was making graphics that would live up to honor the technicality and precise work of the people involved.
